Tribenda 250 (containing Triclabendazole 250 mg) is an anthelmintic (anti-parasitic) medication. Primary Uses • Fascioliasis (Liver Fluke Infection): It is the primary medication used to treat liver fluke infections caused by Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica. It kills both immature and adult stages of the parasites inside the liver and bile ducts. • Paragonimiasis (Off-Label): It is sometimes used off-label or in specific guidelines to treat lung fluke infections. • Target Users: It is used in humans (typically for patients aged 6 years and older) as well as in veterinary/livestock medicine (for cattle, sheep, goats, and buffaloes, depending on the specific product formulation).
